Hello, Welcome to the page dedicated to our Wonderful House Points competition. This competition is between the different Houses at Lytton Street School.
Well what a great year 2009 was. Huia ran away with the prize and over the year proved that they were the most consistent house. The author of this report believes that this year, other teams may fancy their chances in taking out the main prize. Teacher organize the children, the battle has begun..
Just to refresh your memory: Each child upon enrolling at Lytton Street is allotted a House,which they remain in for the duration of their time at Lytton Street. (Some members of the Feilding wider community still remember what house they were in while at Lytton Street school).
The houses are:
Riro.... The Red House.
Kea... The Green House.
Huia... The Blue House.
Tui... The Yellow House.
Each week points are awarded to the children for different activities and events they take part in. Points are then correlated and a weekly winner is announced. A running record is kept so that an overall yearly winner can be determined.
The honour of being the Leading house as we approach the middle of Term 1 is jointly held by Huia and Kea. ( Kea have all the good swimmers)However, if Riro had not been the victims of some foul weather they would have led.
Well done to Huia and Kea and our commiserations to Riro.
